Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking an experienced imaging professional to perform general ultrasound studies in a dynamic healthcare setting. This position operates on a 7-on, 7-off rotation (Wednesday to Tuesday), offering a well-defined schedule to promote work/life balance.
Schedule/Hours
- Wednesday, Thursday: 8:30 PM – 6:30 AM
- Friday: 8:30 PM – 8:30 AM
- Saturday: 8:00 PM – 8:30 AM
- Sunday: 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Monday, Tuesday: 8:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Key Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and/or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency with GE Centricity PACS for image storage and retrieval
- Experience working with Peripheral Intravenous Catheter (PIC) placement is highly desired
- Prior hospital-based ultrasound experience preferred
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct general ultrasound procedures, ensuring diagnostic accuracy and quality patient care
- Prepare imaging equipment and ensure proper documentation of procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to provide timely and effective diagnostic information
- Utilize GE Centricity PACS system to manage imaging data securely
- Maintain a high standard of infection control and patient safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns with empathy
